What is the Spot Hogg PRIZ and How to Install

This is where the Spot Hogg PRIZ comes in. This isn’t just another piece of machined aluminum; it’s a precision-engineered prism lens that drops directly into your ROTI (Reach Out and Touch It) housing, the PRIZ uses optics to shift the target image upward while your pins stay put. It buys you a massive amount of distance by effectively shifting your housing 3/4″ higher in your sight picture.

Installation & Dialing In

You don’t need a pro shop to install the PRIZ. It’s designed to be a simple, at-home upgrade for your existing Spot Hogg ROTI system.

Drop in the PRIZ with the arrow pointing DOWN and the number at the BOTTOM.

PRIZ goes between the pin insert and the sun shade

Find the longer screws found under the foam in your tin.

Use the longer screws found in the tin to reattach the sunshade.

Loosen ONE side of the 2nd Axis adjustment screw. This will insure that your second axis is not effected during the install.

Remove the top and bottom 5/32 screws holding your housing mount assembly. Move the assembly UP 3 positions on the rack. This will put you at approximately the same position as you were before the PRIZ install.

Start at 10 yards to confirm you’re on paper, then move to 20 yards to lock it in. Then sight in as usual with the new Extended Range Sight tapes included with the PRIZ.

PRO TIP: Do NOT use a Rack Stop with the PRIZ. It will limit how far you can raise the sight and kill your ability to use the PRIZ effectively.

Sight Tapes to Match

Every Spot Hogg PRIZ comes with a full set of Extended Range Sight Tapes custom-built by Precision Cut Archery. These ensure that when you dial to triple digits, your marks are as precise as possible. With tapes that take advantage of the entire yardage wheel, depending on your setup, you could see marks out to 200 yards.
